I'm Mohammad Yaameen Zafar, a Mechanical Engineering student at University College London, currently interning at Clearzone over the 2026 summer.
I'm a Mechanical Engineering student at UCL, and I spend most of my time outside lectures turning ideas into things that actually have to work — CAD in Fusion 360, CFD and thermal simulation in ANSYS, and instrumented rigs that test whether the theory holds up on the bench. I like projects that run the full pipeline, from a first sketch to a tested, working result.
Over the 2026 summer I'm interning at Clearzone, supporting product development ahead of launch — CAD work in Fusion 360 and ANSYS simulations, including heat dissipation testing, alongside the engineering team through the pre-launch cycle. Earlier this year I completed an undergraduate research project at UCL under Professor Paul Fromme, investigating how composite materials respond to radiation exposure, with applications in aeronautical engineering.
Before university, I founded and ran Clear Frame, a boutique media agency delivering content for six-figure brands, including the UK's largest powerlifting coaching company. Running that business is where I first learned to lead a small team under a deadline — a skill that now shows up just as much in engineering design challenges as it did in client work.

Investigated how a carbon-fibre sandwich honeycomb ply responds to radiation exposure, with applications in aeronautical engineering, under Professor Paul Fromme.

Founded at sixteen and ran a boutique media agency producing content for six-figure brands, including the UK's largest powerlifting coaching company.

Designed, simulated, 3D-printed, and experimentally tested a small-scale three-bladed horizontal-axis wind turbine — from CFD prediction through to measured electrical output and a full efficiency-loss analysis.

Led a six-person team to a top-5 national finish in the IMechE Design Challenge, from CAD to competition day.

Built and led the working team behind Clear Frame, coordinating shoots, deliverables, and client relationships across two years.

Led a six-person team to design and optimise a truss structure, balancing structural integrity against cost and system-level constraints.
Started and founded my school's VEX Robotics team before university, and led it from the ground up.
Based in London — happy to talk CAD, simulation, or anything that needs building. The best way to reach me is by email or phone.
